Thanksgiving Dinner Meet & Greet
The Capital Region Adoption Coalition invites licensed families and waiting youth to join us for a Thanksgiving dinner and opportunity to meet each other in the hopes that we can create a match! Agencies are also invited to attend with their display boards and flyers. Children of all ages are invited. This event is FREE. In the spirt of Thanksgiving, we request families bring a dessert to share, bought or homemade.
We will be providing discussion topics and games for you to get to know those who are sitting at your table during dinner, as well as other games and activities before and after dinner.
5:30 – 6:30 – Agency tables/boards open as people start to arrive. Games/activities available for youth and families.
6:30 – 7:30 – Dinner. Boards closed.
7:30 – 8 – Agency tables/boards open. Games/activities available for youth and families.
Around 7:15 we also invite families to participate in Family Matching Moments, to give them an opportunity to present themselves to the caseworkers in attendance as well as the youth in attendance. This does not have to be anything complicated or fancy. It can largely be based off the family flyer.
