Fostering Changes Lives, Theirs and Yours.

When children enter foster care, they need someone who can show up with patience, compassion, and consistency while their family works toward healing and stability.

At Children’s Home of York, we call our foster parents Resource Parents because their role is far more than temporary care.

About 5%

of children in the United States are placed in foster care at some point during childhood.

Resource Parents provide the foundation for a child’s healing and, in many cases, their future. They help strengthen families and communities, offering children the support they need to reunite with their loved ones whenever possible, and the chance to find permanent belonging when life takes a different direction.

As a Resource Parent, you’ll change children’s lives forever, and very likely, your own.

Interested in becoming a Resource Parent or have more questions?

Children’s Home of York hosts information sessions the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:00 PM via ZOOM.
