Jen Hitz

Jen Hitz is the President/CEO for Leg Up Farm, a therapy center focusing on special needs children and individuals with other unique strengths and challenges.  She has been in the nonprofit industry for over 25 years.  Prior to her current role, Jen oversaw Leg Up Farm’s development department, including grant writing, fundraising events, and the stewardship of individual and corporate donors.  Jen’s nonprofit career began in State College, working in residential settings with dependent, delinquent, and homeless/runaway children and youth.  She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Human Development and Family Studies.  She is also a 2017 graduate of Mentorship York and a 2023 graduate of the York Federal Fellows.  Community involvement has included the Junior League of York, Women United of the York County United Way, York County Leave a Legacy, WCCOSP (a mentorship program at York College of Pennsylvania), and the York County Nonprofit Collaborative.
